East Allegheny Junior/Senior High School recently celebrated student achievement and perseverance during its annual Academic Awards Ceremony, recognizing students for their accomplishments in the classroom. From academic excellence and perfect attendance to scholarships and leadership honors, the evening highlighted the dedication, growth, and Wildcat pride demonstrated throughout the school year.

Step inside second grade at Logan Elementary and you will find a classroom built around active learning, strong relationships, and growing confidence. Students work toward key learning objectives including reading fluently with comprehension, writing clearly using proper conventions, and solving multi-digit math problems through place value and problem-solving strategies. By the end of the year, students show measurable outcomes in both academics and social growth, becoming more independent readers, confident problem solvers, and collaborative learners ready for the next level.

Student voice in action at East Allegheny. Senior Giada Trent founded the Black Student Union to create a space for connection, leadership, and cultural awareness. BSU is open to everyone and welcomes all students who want to learn, connect, and be part of something meaningful.

East Allegheny is earning national recognition for reimagining the student experience. By focusing on engagement, relationships, and meaningful learning opportunities, the district is helping shape the future of education while creating stronger outcomes for students today.
