Student Parking

To apply for a parking permit, students must:

• Be a junior or senior.
• Receive approval from the high school office.
• Submit a copy of their valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
• Sumit the completed form to Ms. Tina Nicholls.
• Pay the non-refundable $75 parking permit fee.

Student drivers are required to:

• Check in at the front security desk each morning, even if they did not drive that day.
• Turn in their vehicle keys to security upon arrival.
• Display their parking permit on the rearview mirror so it is visible from outside the vehicle.
• Park only in their assigned parking space.
• Remain on campus until buses have departed unless they have an approved early dismissal.

Keys will be returned after buses have left or earlier for students with an approved early dismissal.

A record of parking violations will be maintained. Repeated violations may result in the loss of driving privileges.

Examples of violations include:

• Not turning in vehicle keys
• Parking outside an assigned space
• Transporting students who are not siblings
• Leaving school grounds without permission
• Leaving campus before buses have departed
• Speeding or reckless driving
• Violating traffic laws
• Excessive tardiness

Students who accumulate three unexcused tardies or six excused tardies will receive a warning letter. Additional tardies may result in the loss of parking privileges.

Driving privileges may also be revoked for reckless driving or other serious violations.

• Student vehicles may be searched when there is reasonable suspicion.
• Parking permits remain the property of the East Allegheny School District.
• Parking permits must be returned on the last day of school. Failure to return a permit may result in report cards, transcripts, or diplomas being withheld and may affect parking privileges for the following school year.
